I just noticed the date.. it's nearly the end of the month and therefore the end of the blog race. I see that Lucy has conceded defeat already (God, I didn't realise she was a quitter...!), Dad is on 22 posts and I'm on 18. So, in favour of quantity over quality I thought I'd tell you about my tea last night (Dad's trick) and the movie I watched.
Craig now works with a guy called Simon who worked for years on a fishing boat as the cook. He's been showing Craig lots of recipes whilst they work together at the residential unit. The most recent of which was steak and ale pie. Yesterday, he made a variation on this and we had steak pie, but he made the sauce with red wine rather than beer. It was v good. Pie, pastry, veg, tatties. Carb heaven.
We watched Oceans Thirteen on DVD last night. Which was ok, but just the same as the previous two. Very stylised, but a bit lacking on plot and substance. Eddie Izzard's in this one though, who tried admirably to get into the camera shot, but they were fixed mainly on the two big stars: George Clooney and Brad Pitt. The director was obviously trying to get his money's worth.
Craig's working all day today, which will give me the chance to get on with this essay. I've only got a couple of weeks til submission.
