French and Saunders

Craig and I went to the 'big city' last night for The French and Saunders show. Managed to get some shopping in briefly before we went for tea. We had tea at the Walkabout- the Australian themed chain. It was ok- I had a kangaroo burger and Craig had..... wait for it..... a burger!!! That boy dusnae like change much.. or vegetables. The kangaroo tasted a bit like chicken....no, I'm only kidding.. it was gamey rather than chicken-y.

The show was pretty good. They had sketches from Ab Fab and The Vicar of Dibley incorporated into it. I like that stuff better than some of their other sketch stuff. The show was part of their 'farewell tour' now that they are retiring from working together (and Dawn French is 'moving to Cornwall to die'). But we refrained from the OTT ness of giving them a standing ovation at the end, unlike about two thirds of the audience. My lip is way too stiff for all that.

Still no word on whether I made the rowing team..so I guess I probably didn't. Oh well, maybe they wanted someone who knew what they were doing. It looks like I'll be going to Alton Towers that weekend then for a friend's birthday. So not all bad.

Eh, Gary?.... borange!
