Our friend Siobhan is still alone and without a car whilst her partner Mark is in Scotland staying with his dad for a few days after his mum's funeral. So, to get her out of the house for a while, Craig picked her up last night and she stayed at ours for the evening.
When I got home from work, Siobhan and I went for a run whilst Craig stayed home and chopped the veggies for the fajitas we were going to have later (it's ok, he had had a surf earlier in the afternoon!). We organised it so that our run would end with a stint along the cliff tops and down into Porthtowan Beach where the Blue Bar is. We met Craig there and had a beer whilst the sun went down, before we went home and lit the fire pit and sat in the garden with our fajitas.
This morning we cycled the 20mile round trip into Truro to get some things. I needed bits for the Three Peaks Challenge. I had hoped to get trail shoes, but didn't manage to get any. They must have had a run on Size 9 women's shoes (I think my feet have grown again!!) but I got them ordered. I did manage to get a rucksack suitable for running (it doesn't move on your back when you run- and it has vents so you don't get a sweaty back). And I bought a 'bladder' (water carrier) insert so I can carry my water in my rucksack and have a pipe sticking out the bag to drink from. Very fancy. I also saw a long skirt in 'Fat Face' shop that'll do for the 3 weddings I'm going to in the summer (one of which is Siobhan's).
Craig is working tonight, so I'm planning to watch Zoolander and have an early night (training early tomorrow). No studying this weekend... got my first draft of my last essay back from my tutor and he suggested some minor alterations, but said it's going to pass anyway. So pressure off. And that's me finished the course.
