Angela, Craig's sister, left to go home to Petehead on Wednesday morning. It was good seeing her, but isn't it also nice when you get your house back too? She was a low maintenance guest though. On her last night, we went to the Flaming Wok in Porthtowan (1.5miles from us) and had their midweek special- order whatever you like from the menu for £12.50. It was actually pretty good, so maybe that'll be on the list of places to visit when our next visitors arrive (next summer, unless you have waterproof galloshes!- only joking-its quite nice here today).

I can't find the camera to take a picture of the seagrass flooring- actually I haven't really looked because a) I think its broken (the camera) and b) i'm giving myself time to come to terms with the fact that we measured it up wrong so it had to be layed in the bedrooms with the thread going in a different direction..... There. I've said it. Please all tell me that you don't notice it when you come to visit!!! On the plus side, it is actually a bit softer than you would expect and therefore it may be possible to drag your naked bottom across it without too much damage (should you wish to do so...)!

Good news from work this week- they've agreed to reduce the amount of clinical time we have each week, so we can have a bit of study time built into our week. Oh the luxury! So it looks like my week will be like this: 2 surgeries on Monday, uni Tuesday and Wednesday, 2 surgeries on Thursday and Friday is a study day! Oh yeah! 3 day weekend. Read it and weep (except mum and Lucy of course!). (Of course I do have to do the work at some point....).

We've been invited to a Hallowe'en party (fancy dress of course). I was thinking I might go as Beetlejuice and bidded on a pair of stripey trousers on eBAY, but just found out I've been outdone. Don't think I'll go higher... do you think I could staple crepe paper to a black suit for the same effect..? We were thinking about Craig going as Michael Jackson in his Thriller era. But you'd be surprised how much people will pay for red leather jackets on eBAY! Any suggestions gratefully received.
