It's been quite a quiet week here. Apart from working, I made it out for a couple of runs and Craig managed to get a surf. I bought Craig's birthday present online but had to return it because it was broken when it arrived. His birthday is the 14th of May. Hopefully, I'll get it back from the retailer in time.
The weather was really good yesterday so we tried to get out and make the most of it. I had arranged for a couple of the girls from the running club up to come to our house for a run. We had aimed to do about 13miles but only managed about 10miles and had to go back because Gaby's knees were playing up. We had a good run though- a mix of road and cliff top running.
We went out for lunch afterwards to the Miners Arms in Mithian. (I downloaded this piccie from Google Images- I didn't take this picture). We all had the Ploughmans Lunch and sat outside at the tables in the picture. It was fairly hot and sunny and was really nice. We met some cyclists who were doing Lands End to John O' Groats- which really inspired me. I'd love to do that one day.
We had been expecting to go to a BBQ in the afternoon at a friend's house. But it was cancelled as his mum has been taken into hospital- she has cancer and it looks like she might not make it for much longer.
Today, Craig is working and I'm at home trying to get on with this essay on depression. Tomorrow is Bank Holiday Monday- so we're both off. I'm hoping for some sun.
