I thought Id post something tonight as it may be some time til I do again. Dawn et al arrive tomorrow. Once they leave its a quick turnaround for Craig's family and then immediately after my chum Katrina is coming to stay. Phew! I'm tired thinking about it.
I've been trying hard to negotiate with my new work about hours over the next few weeks whilst we have visitors down. But the manageress is being fairly difficult about it. This may be the shortest job in history if she's not willing to budge an inch. I'm hoping she does because I still want a few more clothes! She told me to ask one of the girls for a swap on a shift and then I heard tonight she told that girl she couldn't swap with me. I need to call her tomorrow and try and discuss it. If I can't work the hours out with her I might just leave!
I was working at the shop tonight after the Surgery. Did I mention that the shop is next door to Rick Stein's delicatessan (is that how you spell it...?!). We had his chocolate croissants today-very nice. Craig however wins the prize for coolest things at work. Apparently Eden have installed a zip slide. Staff can use it in the mornings. He can't wait!
I've got an interview next week for a training post with my work. Further CBT training- one year course- would accredit me with the governing body for therapists, the BABCP. Quite a desirable qualification- there are few people trained to that standard currently. Although the Government are investing more in CBT now and more people are due to be trained in the next few years. The post would mean I was at uni 2 days a week and work 3 (still paid for 5) and a wage increase. Hurrah! We'll see how I get on.
Anyway, I think that's all my news. I'm away to have only my second cup of tea for the day (I know.. criminal, you say. I agree) and relax. I'm up early tomorrow. I want to have a run and tidy the house before my neighbour Helen comes round at 9am. She's a hairdresser and is going to curl my hair for the wedding next weekend and tomorrow is the practice. After, I need to stock up on food supplies before Dawn arrives at lunch.
No photos I'm afraid, you'll need to use your imagination! Picture something nice!
