It's been a while.....!

Hello..... I guess its time to update the blog. I've been really busy of late, hence the tardiness. Part of the reason for my busyness has been because I've taken on a part time summer job at a clothes shop in Padstow. The pay is rubbish but I'm supplementing this by taking full advantage of their free clothes for your uniform and cost price discount on everything else. The shop is called Seasalt http://www.seasaltcornwall.co.uk/index.php. All their clothes are made of organic cotton and ethically produced so you can feel very righteous wearing them.

The work is ok...its very easy, obviously. A no-brainer. But quite a nice antidote to what I do the rest of the time. Infact, you have to spend most of your time sorting the clothes on the shelves. All that sorting must be a bit like having OCD.

Craig had his second induction day at the Eden Project today. The guy who did their training today was the story teller who told the scary stories when we were there with the Lesinas. Do you remember him? He was in the tent with the potions and told the story of the girl who went down the stairs....'boom, boom, boom, boom'. Turns out he's from Aberdeen as well. Craig told him he had scared his nephew-in-law and he just laughed! We could tell he was a bad one! Craig starts next Monday. But he's already managed to bag a free family pass for when Dawn et al arrive on Wednesday.

Craig has been doing his bit for neighbourly relations recently and went surfing yesterday with the guy from next door and his son. We've been invited round for tea too, which is nice. The family from across the way moved out this weekend (we never really got to know them properly) and the man who owns the local surfboard repair shop has moved in! Craig's delighted as you can imagine.

I got another medal yesterday to add to the 'medal tree' in the living room (actually just my big twigs). I did the 'Magnificent 7' race near Plymouth. 7 very big hills. So my time was slow (66mins). I had to walk quite a bit, but was not alone so that helped. I usually only take food with me for over about 12miles, but I had decided that given it was a really hilly race that I would take half a tube of chewy mints with me for a sugar boost on the way round. I only realised when I got to the start line that the leggings I was wearing didn't have an internal pocket. Given that the leggings were tight I thought I'd just pop the sweets in the waist band of my trousers. However, before I'd even run 400yrds the tube had slipped down to the top of my leg making it look like I had an Elvis! How embarrassing! I couldn't really fish down to get them so I had to run the race looking like an aroused transexual! Nightmare! Anyway,if they haven't removed me from the official race photo's I'll try and find one and post it on later.

Anyway, glad to hear the the Lesinas/ Stewarts are having a good time on holiday.I thought the story about Cade being nervous before the rollercoaster was hilarious Lucy. Glad you got through your best man speech Gary. Craig is best man next weekend at our friends wedding. He's not thought about the speech much yet- I'm sure he'd be open to some advice!

Speak to you all soon....ps did you like the footage of Craig paddle boarding...I though it was pretty good, but what a show off eh?!! Does he not know that showing off is my domain???!

K xx
