I finished John Peel's autobiography today. For anyone who doesn't know he died before he could complete it and his wife wrote the second half after his death. I thought they both had an enjoyable writing style- and the second half was quite touching in places in my opinion. I was close to shedding a tear at the end when she described the tributes made to him after his death. JP was only 65 when he died...... (but when did I start saying only 65?!).

So, that's me out of a book to read.I'd really like to read Peter Kaye's autobiography, so yes, Gary send it my way please! Do you want Russell Brand's? Nothing else to offer.. unless you want Trinny and Susannah's Guide to Dressing (an unwanted Christmas present from a friend!)

We're still having computer probs- I've not managed to speak to Ross yet. He promised he'd phone last night, and he maybe did, but I ended up going to bed early with a headache. I never managed to rehydrate enough after my run. I tried to call again tonight, but now he's in bed ill again.

I don't know what I'd put in my top 10 tracks- my taste changes. A couple of songs that would probably make a favourites list for me currently were in Dad and Gary's lists eg. Psycho Killer (Dad), Try a Little Tenderness (Dad) and Smells Like Teen Spirit (Gary).... but I also currently like Jealous Guy- maybe John Lennon's version? Eric Clapton's Bell Bottom Blues. Seven Nation Army- White Stripes- or their cover of Conquest. Or just anything by the White Stripes generally! Or what's that Beach Boys song with the line 'God only knows what I'd be without you'. I like that one too.

What about favourite movies? I don't think I have one. I've been known to say that my favourite is the Wizard of Oz, but I think that's really just down to laziness and a lack of imagination. But I can't think of a movie I watched recently that I have really enjoyed that much...!?

OK, so I better go. Craig is asking whether I'm writing my memoirs the amount of time I'm taking composing this.

Re: holiday next year- we're definitely up for it- whay month would suit best?
