No more messages from 'Sexy, Sexy Nice Girl'. Hmm, I guess she has maybe found someone who was happy to be disturbed(e).

I downloaded The Best of Roxy Music this weekend. I had been inspired by watching a programme earlier in the week about them. I knew and liked some of their stuff previously eg. Virginia Plain- and even some of the later, cheesy stuff I didn't mind e.g Avalon. But, actually, I think I only like about 3 of their songs. I should have previewed each song before committing to buying the album.

iTunes had been doing its best to try and give me the hint that perhaps buying this album would be a mistake. All week as I determinedly tried to buy it, iTUNES told me this was not possible due to an error. If only, I had listened to their warning! I had pondered why Dad (whose musical taste I tend to find is similar to mine- or is that the other way round?) didn't possess ANY of their albums. But had mistakenly assumed that the old fellar and I did not agree on this one. Oh well, I'll chalk that one down to experience- after such a glowing review- does anyone feel the need to share my pain and want a copy?

I made a new Playlist for my iPod to take running today. As my laptop is still experiencing problems due to its incompetent owner, I hadn't been able to preview said sad album before including it in the Playlist. But accompanying it I included the Raconteurs, the White Stripes (for a bit of a Jack White fest), the Kings of Leon and some other odds and sods from the downloads Dad gave me. I enjoyed reminiscing listening to some of it eg. King Crimson (I still love all that cheese- Gary, aka Oracle of the Obscure musical tastes- have you heard of them...?). But I think, I'll remove Bryan Ferry et al before the next outing. In case you haven't had enough talk about running, I did 20miles this am. Coast to coast across Cornwall. I'm writing this bloody knackered with my feet up and a few mini Bounty bars beside me (Pain- pleasure!).
